An interesting post on the Florida Progressive Coalition blog. Back in 2002, Florida voters approved a Constitutional Amendment banning the”cruel and inhumane confinement of pigs during pregnancy..” Looks like the voters in that much maligned state may have known what they were doing, though we all laughed at them at the time:
